The Church of Santa Maria del Castagno
In this little Church not very far from the Convent of San Silvestro is venerated the holy icon of the Virgin and the Bambino, painted on wood.
This icon belonged to the Cardinal Gambara (16th century) who gave it to the inhabitants. This icon was venerated in the Convent of San Silvestro and in 1605 when the convent was transformed in an hermitage it was transferred over a large chestnut's stump near the Convent; then was built the little church where there is still the stump.
