Description
The history of the ancient Pallavicini family is strictly linked with different aspects of its region, the Lazio, where it is present since the 17th century: architecture, painting, town planning, and least but not last the wine sector. The vineyard Principe Pallavicini di Colonna, the heart of the production of this company, extends from Colonna to Frascati, near the ancient Labicum and it is crossed by via Labicana. In the places Colle Mattia and Marmorelle there is the modern cellar for vinification, an ancient building (17th century) where there are barrels and ancient ruins. In the niches of its caves, which have been recently restored, there are the barriques and the red wines bottled to refine.
89 hectares surrounded by hundred-year old olive trees, dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards, among which those in the place named Pasolina produce red grapes for wines destined to mature.
Among the properties of this company different rooms for free tasting and of wines and olive oil, and a huge parking areas. After a visit (personnel speaks English) it is possible to eat at the company’s old restaurant (only after reservation) able to host up to 60 persons. It is possible to buy the different selection of wine, even in particular packages (wood and jute).
