Villa Muti
This villa was built by the Cardinal Arrigoni at the end of the 16th century. It was named after the Muti Family, one of its owner. As many other villas of this area, it was built on an ancient Roman villa, whose ruins are still visible in the garden.

In its interior there are several pictorial works representing biblical subjects by various Tuscan painters, the first of these painters was Ludovico Cardi called ‘il Cigoli', then Domenico Cresti called ‘il Passignano', but the most important of these artists was Pietro da Cortona. In this villa there is in fact a rare example of his early works, just after his arrival in Rome. The last painter was Giovanni Lanfranco.
